A. Procedure
Phase 1: Participation in the GERMANY ART PRIZE involves submitting photos by uploading a maximum of fife works of art (including paintings, sculptures/object, photography/digital art) using an online form on www.kunstpreis-deutschland.de. From the digitally submitted works, a jury (photo jury) will nominate those works that will take part in the final jury decision as well as the subsequent art award exhibition (including vernissage and finissage).
Phase 2: From the digitally submitted work, a five-member expert jury (photo jury) is sighted on a large screen-and nominated those works that remove for the final jury session. The final jury meeting, at which the three prize winners are determined, takes place approximately one month after the nomination meeting.
Phase 3: The following art prizes will be awarded in a ceremonial setting:
- Gold Award “Art Prize Germany 2024/25 for painting”
- Gold Award “Art Prize Germany 2024/25 for sculpture / object”
- Gold Award “ART PRIZE GERMANY 2024/25 for photography / digital Art”
B. Basic Information
Events:
- Application: Upload (1 to 5 works) to www.kunstpreis-deutschland.de until September 30th 2024
- An independent photo jury nominates works for the final jury meeting: until October 31th, 2024
- Announcement of the works nominated by the photo jury by email: until October 31th, 2024
- Mailing of the submission forms for the nominated works: until November 30th, 2024
- An independent jury determines the winners: until January 31th , 2025
- Awarding of the GERMANY ART PRIZE 2024/25: April 2025 Date not yet se
- Place of the award ceremony: Will be announced at a later date.
Art Prize book: Publication of a print documentation and an e-book for the GERMANY ART PRIZE 2024/25, in which the nominated works (photos and texts) and the artists are presented.
In addition, all artists (including those not nominated by the jury) are named on www.kunstpreis-deutschland.de with their first and last name and place of residence.
Conditions of participation for the GERMANY ART PRIZE 2023/24:
1. Academic education and/or an adequate exhibition vita.
2. There is no restriction of origin. Artists from home and abroad are welcome.
3. Art disciplines: including painting, sculpture, photography / digital art.
4. Subjects of the exhibits to be submitted can be freely determined / slogan: art powers future
5. The works must be submitted as photos by uploading them to www.kunstpreis-deutschland.de.
6. Applications with a maximum of five works (at least one work) at the age of (each) max. 10 years.
7. Brief description (maximum 1/5 A4 page per work) of the works to be given titles.
8. Artist biography: compact vita (max. 1/1 A4 page)
9. Processing fee / flat fee:
9.1 Submission of the first work: € 50.00 incl. value added tax VAT (artists up to 35 years: € 0.00)
9.2 Submission of a second work (if applicable): € 40.00 incl. VAT(Artists up to 35 years: € 0.00)
9.3 Submission of a third work (if applicable): € 30.00 including VAT.
9.4 Submission of a third work (if applicable): € 20.00 including VAT.
9.5 Submission of a third work (if applicable): € 10.00 including VAT.
10. Jury prizes: Gold Awards in three disciplines: painting, sculpture/object, photography/digital art
C. Terms of tender
C.1 Authorisation
All applicants with an artistic education ( alternatively with an adequate exhibition vita) from Germany and abroad are eligible to apply.
One to five (1 – 5) original works of fine art from the areas of painting, sculpture, photography / digital art that are not older than 10 years and were created by the sender are permitted.
There are no restrictions on artistic expression. Not allowed to be submitted …
… fake works.
… heavily restored or damaged works.
… unlimited and unnumbered multiples.
… artwork not self-made (exception: designated joint work).
… works for which the exhibitor does not have the (co-) copyright or right of use.
… representations which contradict applicable German law in word and/or image.
C.2 Application (photo jury)
The application takes place by submitting the works in digital form via the website of the organizer (www.kunstpreis-deutschland.de) by filling in the input fields and by uploading the works photo (s) as JPG. The image file should not exceed 3 MB and be no smaller than 300 KB. The image files must be clearly identifiable. It should therefore be noted that the file name of the photos submitted (jpg) is as follows: Last name, first name, work description.jpg. Up to five (5) works can be uploaded as photos in digital form, …no more than one photo per work.
Information on the work or the works and the person of the artist must be given in full in the application for the photo jury.
The deadline for submitting works to the “Photo Jury” is September 30th 2024 .
C.3 Processing fees (young artists: € 0.00 for two submitted works)
A participation and processing fee of € 50.00 is charged for the first work per artist (exception: young artists up to the age of 35).

One concern of this art prize is to relieve young artists financially, to offer them appropriate exhibition opportunities – and thus promote their artistic career.
Anyone who, as an artist, would like to submit more than one work (fee: € 50.00 ) at the age of 36 and over, pays € 40.00 for the second work (artists up to 35 years of age free of charge) and for a possible third work, € 30.00, a possible fourth work € 20.00 and a possible fifth work € 10.00 each processing fee, including sales tax.
You will receive an invoice for the processing fee to be paid by post and additionally by email. The processing fee should be received on the art award organizer’s account within 10 days of receipt of the invoice. If payments are not received on time, applications may not be processed and therefore not considered.
C.4 All artists who apply will be named in alphabetical order after the art award ceremony under the heading “IVOLVED ARTISTS / WORKS” on the website www.kunstpreis-deutschland.de.
D. Jury decisions and prizes
D.1 First jury meeting
From the works submitted by upload by September 30th, 2024, the independent photo jury will nominate the works for the final jury decision by October 31th, 2024. Artists whose works have been nominated by the photo jury will receive notifications from the organizer by e-mail until November 30th, 2024.
D.2 Second, final jury meeting
From the nominated works, the jury appointed by the art prize organizer will select three winning works in the disciplines painting, sculpture/object, photography/digital art. These are each endowed with gold awards, which are presented at the art award ceremony. The works awarded the ART PRIZE GERMANY will be shown in their original form on this occasion.
The artist has no right of appeal against the decision of the jury. The jury will not justify the non-awarding of works. Jury members are obliged to maintain confidentiality. The only criterion for the jury is the artistic performance of the individual work. For this purpose, the art award organizer anonymizes the works submitted as far as possible before submitting them to the jury.
D.3 Delivery and labeling of the award-winning works
The prize-winning works must be delivered one day before the art award ceremony by parcel service, courier or in person, at your own expense and risk. The venue will be announced at a later date in good time.
A submission form (with name and work details) must be completed and attached to the respective prize-winning work and the packaging. A form (with further information) must be sent in an envelope within the packaging during delivery. Blank forms will be sent by email to the three art prize winners until February 28th, 2025.
A biography / vita related to the artistic career (max. 1 DIN A4 page) must also be enclosed, as well as a description of the submitted work/works (max. 1/5 DIN A4 page) and the name of the chosen art discipline, for example „painting“ – and technology, for example „oil on canvas“.
E. Award ceremony
E.1 The awarding of the art prize takes place in a festive setting. It is photographed and filmed. Artists and guests agree that photos and videos may be published. The press is informed nationally.
E.2 Collection of the works
The prize-winning works presented at the art award ceremony can (if they are not sold) be picked up/taken away after the event at your own expense and risk. The art prize organizer is not liable for this.
F. Exhibition terms
F.1 If a work has been nominated by the jury for the art prize, it cannot be withdrawn by the applicant. If a nominated or award-winning work is sold (e.g. via www.kunstpreis-deutschland.de, website menu area “GALLERY GERMANY”) by the art prize organizer, he or she will receive compensation amounting to 25% of the sales price.
F.2 Condition and configuration of the artworks:
Paintings, photographs and digital art works must be provided with a sturdy frame and eyelets. Multi-part works (diptych or triptych) must be submitted as a hanging unit. An easel for each work must be brought to the award ceremony.
For sculptures or objects that are not intended to be placed on the floor, the required sculpture bases or pedestals must be supplied by the artist. Any liability is declined for glasses and damage to work caused by glass splinters.
F.3 Sale of works: Every artist agrees that their nominated or awarded work can be sold to interested parties at a price to be specified. The sales price of the work must be stated including a 25% sales fee. After submitting the works, the artists are not entitled to change the selling price.
F.4 The organizer of the art award is entitled to reproduce the works accepted for the exhibition in online and print documentation as well as for press and PR work free of charge (photo/s, video/s).
F.5 A book and e-book will be published for the ART PRIZE GERMANY 2024/25. The nominated artists are each presented with their work (photos and texts) on half a page (1/2). Any type of copying, reproduction and further processing of digitally submitted photos of the works for other purposes and by unauthorized third parties is prohibited – and therefore excluded.
F.6 The place of fulfillment for all obligations in relation to this art prize competition and the sale of works exhibited digitally or in the original is the headquarters of the art prize organizer.
G. Final provisions
By submitting the registration and making available factory photos (via upload) for the GERMANY ART PRIZE, the applicant declares his / her consent to all of the above conditions.

G. Final provisions
By applying and providing work photos (via upload) for the ART PRIZE DEUTSCHLAND, the applicant agrees to all of the above provisions.
